It is a systematic investigation into the conditions under which literary texts are created, transmitted, interpreted, and institutionalized. Unlike the natural sciences, which rely primarily on empirical experimentation, literary research relies on textual, historical, contextual, and theoretical evidence to advance original arguments. Literary research operates across three primary methodological domains: 1. Empirical & Material Research This domain focuses on the physical, archival, and historical realities of literary artifacts.
