Cultural studies is a field of theoretically, politically, and empirically engaged cultural analysis that concentrates upon the political dynamics of contemporary culture, its historical foundations, defining traits, conflicts, and contingencies.
As per the my understanding for cultural studies is that it talks about US. Cultural studies seeksto understand how meaning is generated, disseminated, contested, bound up with systems of power and control, and produced from the social, political and economic spheres within a particular social formation or conjuncture.
In interview I introduce cultural studies with concept of Humanism because Humanistic philosophy and values reflect a belief in human dignity and science — but not religion. A humanistic philosophy refers to a few specific ideas. ... Also, humanistic thinkers believe in science as a way people can achieve their greatest potential.
In this workshop I never forget about the concept of Marxism.Marxism is a method of socioeconomic analysis that views class relations and social conflict using a materialist interpretation of historical development and takes a dialectical view of social transformation. It originates from the works of 19th-century German philosophers Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
